Antique French Leather-Bound Molière: Œuvres Complètes De Molière, Complete Works of Moliere, 1883 Librairie de Firmin-Didiot.The complete Works of Moliere, in original French, Bound in ½ Leather with marbled boards and matching marbled end pages. The books are part of the M Lefevre Masterpieces of Literature Series and were published 1883 in Paris by the Firmin-Didot Bookshop updating their earlier 1845 edition with a newly discovered, unbound, 1682 version that yielded the original text untouched by later editions.All four volumes are in very good condition, with minimally foxed gilt edged pages, tight bindings, fully intact covers with some shelf-wear to edges of leather but no obvious cracking. The edge gilding of the pages are remarkably preserved.There is an inscription on the signature page of the first volume, dated 1894, and addressed to Catherine Chamberlain from her uncle.Œuvres Complètes De Molière,
